The artist I chose is Laura Owens. I chose her because her artwork looks very peaceful and calm. With all the chaos that goes on in the world, her work makes me smile and think of being in another world where things are happy and lovely. This artwork of hers makes it seem like the viewer is looking out a window and seeing the land. The beautiful mountains are in the far distance and the water and the sun rise or sun set gives it a nice pretty glow. Laura Owens was born in Euclid, Ohio, in 1970. She is still living today.
